Escape the Spymistress

VIRTUAL MISSION

Play completely online… Not a part of the subscription.

We have digitized our first Game!

We have received word that there is a plot to kill President Abraham Lincoln… 4 years early. A change to the timeline this much will have huge consequences, so we are sending you back to 1861 to stop the assassination attempt. We don’t know much about the plans, but there is a spymistress who lives not too far from the President’s Mansion who seems to know everything that is going on. If there is a plot, we are sure that she will know the details. We need you to sneak into her house, find her cipher, and discover the details of the assassination plot in time. There is a good possibility that you may even have to stop the attack yourself!

This is a “re-imagining” of our first box in the subscription, which was released in February/March of 2017. If you have played this box, many of the puzzles in this game will be the same, though we have added a few surprises. Since the physical game of “Escape the Spymistress” was permanently retired in July of 2021, this digital game will offer new fans of Escape the Crate a chance to start the game from the very beginning. Please note that this game takes place during the American Civil War in 1861. If you would prefer to not play a game with this theme, please choose another one of our adventures.

Ready to buy?

Check out our F.A.Q.’s on how our virtual games work HERE. When you order, your game code to play the game will be sent to your email address shortly after the order goes through. If you don’t see the email, please check your SPAM folder.

These game codes don’t have expiration dates, but once you click the link and start playing, you have only 72 hours in which to complete the game! Once you finish playing, you can NOT play again.

Playing in a group? Share the game code with your other players so that you will all be in the same game together. Use Zoom, or the internet audio method of your choice, to talk to each other virtually during the game. We do recommend headphones to avoid feedback.

Playing Solo? Use the link to log in, as well. Since the game is designed for groups, there might be some puzzles where it might be easier to snap a photograph of the screen to help crack a code to save yourself having to click back and forth through the pages.
